Sibi during Akbar times

In Akbar's time Sibi was a mahal of the Bhakkar sarkar of the Multan Subah. It paid about Rs. 34,5oo, and furnished 500 cavalry and 1,500 infantry. The Panni tribe also supplied a separate contingent. Chhalgari, i. e. the Harnai valley, which depended on Kandahar, paid RS. 240 in money, 415 kharzvars of grain, and supplied 2oo horse and 300 foot. Source: Imperial Gazetteer of India, v. 22, p. 342
