  1. I recommend "A History of Pashtun Migration, 1775–2006 – By Robert Nichols". I have a family tree going back 11 generations before me (we are Umarzai btw) and come from the people around Hafiz Rehmat Khan. The British atrocities against us (100,000 killed, 10,000 villages burned) were so much that in a way, the Afghans took our revenge when they even killed the retreating British after giving them a safe passage to exit.
